Position Overview: Reporting directly to the Vice-President of Operations, the Assistant Vice-President of Airport Operations Control will be a proven strategic leader who will drive operational excellence across three Airport functions—the Airport Operations Center (AOC), Corporate Aviation, and the Terminal D and E Ramp Control Towers.
This position requires a deep understanding of leadership, vision, and a high level of strategic thinking. As the AVP, you will participate in exciting critical projects— such as the design and concept of operations development of a next generation Airport Operations Control facility that will improve operational efficiency and emphasize the end-to-end customer experience.

What we will ask of you: •Assist in the overall planning, direction and coordination of services provided by the Airport Operations Center, Corporate Aviation, and the Terminal D and E Ramp Control Towers •Direct all activities of the Airport Operations Center, Corporate Aviation, and the Terminal D and E Ramp Control Towers; responsible for compliance with Federal, State and Local rules and regulations related to these activities •Develop and implement and operating procedures and annual operating budget resources for assigned business units •Develop, administer and coordinate capital funding requests in support of business unit requirements •Oversee capital projects related to repair and enhancement of business unit facilities •Participate in emergency response planning; you may fill a key position in the Emergency Operation Center during major incidents or accidents •Schedule and assign management staff and evaluate performance of personnel. •Support the overall Board mission and strategic imperatives as they apply to areas of responsibility •Interact and network with other airport managers, airlines and federal agencies as necessary to further the goals of DFW Airport
What we require of you: •Bachelor's degree in aviation management, business or public administration or a related field •Minimum of five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience in airport operations including experience at a large commercial airport •Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible management experience •Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the above •Possession of a valid Class C driver's license
