Responsible for inspecting all aspects of construction projects for MNAA and ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, building codes, laws, and regulations. Other responsibilities include generating reports of conditions from inspection activities, notifying management of significant problems, and completing documentation to attest to satisfactory completion of inspection or test activities.
Essential Job Responsibilities: Inspects projects for compliance with contract plans and specifications, standards, permit and code requirements, and other state and federal regulatory requirements. Performs physical inspections in a variety of disciplines, such as concrete, buildings, electrical, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), and insulation. Ensures that direction, procedures, and standards are being followed and provides guidance as necessary. Documents status of construction of projects. Assembles information for the preparation of construction reports and studies.
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s Degree or higher in a related field preferred. One to three years of construction or related experience required. Three to five years of construction, engineering, inspection, or related experience preferred. Driver’s license required. National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) certificate and Airport Certified Member (CM) program completion preferred.
