The Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring airport compliance with the Federal Regulation requirements of CFR Part 139. As a member of the management team, the ideal candidate will have extensive working knowledge of FAR rules, regulations, and Advisory Circulars, as well as all local, state and federal regulations applicable to the operation of a Part 139 commercial service airport. This position directly supervises an Operations staff of five. Qualifications: bachelor's degree in aviation management, business management or a related field and five (5) years of progressively responsible operations experience. The Greater Rockford Airport Authority (GRAA) is the governing authority over the Chicago Rockford International Airport. The Chicago Rockford International Airport (RFD) is located approximately 85 miles northwest of Chicago. The airport covers about 3,000 acres with 800 airfield related acres. The airport currently provides passenger service to ten destinations. RFD is home to the second largest air hub sorting facility in United Parcel Service's system.
