Bachelor’s degree in airport management, aviation or business field. Three (3) years professional level experience in airport operations/airport maintenance at a FAR 139 certified airport or military base operation/airfield with responsibility for the safe inspection and oversight of airfield facilities including one (1) year supervisory/project management responsibilities. Must have effective oral and written communication skills, MS Word/Excel or similar software skills, valid driver’s license with good driving record and ability to pass TSA background check. Knowledge of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) safety rules while working in Air Operations Areas and procedures for communication with the FAA Air Traffic Control Tower is required. Per FAA Advisory Circular 150/5210-20, selected candidate must be able to demonstrate a functional knowledge of the English language. Ability to interpret and implement government airport regulations and policies is required. High school diploma/GED, plus seven (7) years of the required experience including one (1) year of supervisory/project management responsibilities will qualify.
