About McCarran International Airport
McCarran International Airport is a dynamic and exciting place to work, with a mission to provide excellence in customer service with great employees. Teamwork and dedication has led to McCarran’s many successes.
In 2012, 43 percent of all visitors to the Las Vegas area passed through McCarran, which was the ninth-busiest airport in North America. McCarran regularly hosts more than 41 million inbound and outbound travelers each year, and trails only Los Angeles International and John F. Kennedy International airports in its number of “origin and destination” travelers. McCarran is accustomed to processing more than 114,000 travelers every day, with most utilizing the airport’s full range of services, whether it’s parking and baggage claim on the way into Las Vegas or the ticketing lobby and security checkpoints on the way out. Staying busy is their business, but they have not lost sight of doing things the right way. McCarran regularly ranks among the nation’s best-rated airports, including being honored as North America’s best large airport by J.D. Power and Associates.
McCarran became the first airport in the world to use the latest Radio Frequency Identification technology... to implement an airport-wide baggage tracking system.
McCarran is also the world’s first airport to utilize a multiple-airline, self-service passenger check-in system and recently launched the country’s largest free airport wireless network, and last year opened its new $2.4 billion Terminal 3 expansion.
