The Colorado Springs Airport Properties/Planning/Construction Internship Program is designed to introduce future airport managers to the many facets of managing and operating a Commercial Service Airport. The Intern is assigned to work under the supervision of the Properties, Planning and Construction departments and will be assigned a variety of projects. The Intern will gain experience in projects and construction, ground transportation rules and regulations, RFP research, airport rules and regulations, aviation related benchmarking surveys, and special assignments. The program lasts 1,600 hours with 2 weeks unpaid vacation. Anticipated start date is June 4, 2018 Bi-weekly pay of up to $1,024 for a 32 hour work week (50 weeks) or 40 hour work week (40 weeks) Send resume and cover letter to Jane Acosta (jacosta@springsgov.com) no later than 11:59 PM on Monday, April 30, 2018

Eligibility:

Be working towards a bachelor's or graduate degree in aviation or related discipline

Be proficient in Microsoft office Software

Have a strong work ethic and go-getter attitude

Possess a valid drivers license

Successfully pass a background check

NOTES:

Additional Salary Information: No benefits Two weeks unpaid vacation

The Colorado Springs Airport (COS) is a city-owned, public-use commercial airport located in the heart of Colorado and is the primary-use airport for the Pikes Peak Region and Southern Colorado. The 3-runway airport is the second largest in the state and offers 13 nonstop flights with 5 airlines. Additional nonstop flights will be added in April 2018.
