Covenant Aviation Security, LLC (CAS) is a nationwide leader in the critical area of airport security. We are looking for highly qualified and well-motivated leaders who have a love for aviation and a strong commitment to protect it. CAS has potential openings for Site Security Managers at several of the nation’s most active and critical airports. The positions are responsible for directing and implementing all assigned security programs related to airport security functions at the respective airports, governed by federal regulations under 49 CFR Part 1542. These positions will be the leading face of CAS with frequent and critical interactions within the airport community including, but not limited to the airport authority, airlines, TSA, law enforcement, and local government officials. Filling these positions is contingent upon contract awards.
The successful Site Manager will define and oversee security operations, supported by subordinate Supervisors who direct the security workforce.
Implementing CAS and airport-specific programs and procedures to secure the airport and its stakeholder airlines, vendors and customers.
Evaluating performance relative to mission accomplishment and priorities, procedural policy and compliance, technical competence and adherence to corporate operational, financial and customer service objectives.
Directing supervision of a subordinate staff, planning and organization of the operation and ensuring the most efficient use of resources to meet these requirements.
Development and analysis of efficient and effective employee work schedules and related resources.
The Site Manager is expected to perform the full-range of both administrative and technical supervision duties including: assigning work, planning and scheduling work, approving leave, assessing employee performance, making selections and promotions. Additional duties include: hearing and resolving complaints from employees, implementing fair and impartial disciplinary action, identify training and developmental needs, meeting quality plan objectives, improving quality and production and developing goals and objectives. The Site Manager also plays significant roles in developing budgets, directing major program segments, approving awards and other personnel actions, and making decisions on work related recognitions, problems and recommendations. All duties are carried out with an uncompromising dedication to the highest performance standards and a full commitment to customer-focused security.
The Site Manager works in the fast-paced and complex working environment of today’s aviation and aviation security industry. The successful Site Manager deals directly with all levels of security management, the local airport authority, law enforcement, labor relations, Federal and State regulatory agencies, airline-contracted personnel, and local government officials.
Bachelor degree in security or related field or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
Demonstrated recent professional experience managing a security or screening operation.
Specific experience in management and oversight of staff at a 49 CFR Part 1542 regulated airport or other federally-regulated facility is preferred.
Must have aviation, law enforcement or security operations experience. Professional knowledge of the aviation industry sufficient to provide direction to meet and exceed client expectations for implementing security operations.
Skills necessary to develop and implement staffing plans.
Proven ability in realizing balance sheet and bottom-line results for optimal profitability and market presence.
Implements operational techniques to reduce cost, increase customer satisfaction, and enhance quality in service.
Problem-solving and critical thinking skills a must.
Strong and effective oral and written interpersonal communications skills.
Demonstrated aptitude and enthusiasm for leading and motivating a diverse and committed workforce.
AAAE Airport Certified Employee (ACE) Security Certification at time of hire is highly desirable.
Must have flexibility in work hours to include various shifts, weekends and holidays.
Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office products: Excel, PowerPoint and Word; MS Project proficiency is an excellent plus)
