We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Contracts Administrator at our Torrance, California location.
Prepares contract proposals, negotiates terms and conditions, and prepares and administers agreements. Negotiates, commits, executes, and administers contracts or agreements, including communicating and interpreting performance requirements, delivery obligations and schedules, and related terms and conditions in ensuring accurate and complete business transactions. Prepares and maintains process documentation. Advises management of contractual performance data. Maintains historical data and applicable policies and procedures. Prepares proposals according to schedule, contract negotiations, timely and complete status reporting to management, and completion of current contracts to the satisfaction of the customer and at the most favorable terms and profit to the company. Customers may include both USG and Commercial (domestic and/or international). Knowledge and experience with FAR/DFARS is required
Roles & Responsibilities · Performs duties associated with the preparation and definition of proposal documentation, including strategy development, preparation of proposal review packages, preparation and submittal of customer proposals, customer follow-up, contract negotiations, and contract administration.
· Coordinates inputs from other organizations and integrates key elements into customer proposals including product differentiation, contract terms, payment provisions, delivery schedules, price, and technical contents.
· Participates in fact-finding and leads contract negotiations.
· Complies with all government regulations, and Company policies and procedures.
· Ensures identification and flow down of FAR and DFARS clauses to subcontracts as needed and required.
· Ensures all obligations are met over the life of the contract.
· Recommends and coordinates decisions on acceptability of contract clauses, methods of obtaining customer concurrent and effect of contract changes on work scope
· Other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
A bachelor’s degree in business administration or in a related field of study or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience:
5 to 10 years of demonstrated skills in proposal preparation, negotiation, and contract administration. This classification is used for positions responsible for small to mid-level contracts that do not have the complexities to require substantial experience for effective administration. Requires minimal supervision. Knowledge:
Proposal preparation, negotiation, and contract administration. Financial analysis, termination liability, and contract performance. FAR/DFARs ITAR/EAR Experience with international contracts and negotiation is a plus. Skills & Abilities:
Leadership. Work independently, and with others. Understanding of terms and conditions, termination liability, and contract management. Strong organization and verbal and written communications skills.
