The Pittsburgh International Airport - ACAA is seeking a Field Maintenance Supervisor to supervise approximately 95 Field Maintenance personnel ensuring the airfield and all airport areas under the jurisdiction of Field Maintenance and its related equipment are maintained in a safe and operational condition. Requirements: Five (5) years supervisory experience. Posting Deadline: Open Until Filled. Salary: DOE.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES • Extensive ability to lead and work effectively with non-union and union employees; • Extensive ability to communicate effectively with airlines, tenants, contractors and employees; • Must have the ability to achieve ICS100 and ICS200 certification within 30 days and ICS300 within one year of employment; • Knowledge of ADP timekeeping system and the JD Edwards work-order system; • Knowledge of union contracts and disciplinary procedures; • Knowledge of the Airports' layout and infrastructure; • Knowledge of Airport plans such as Winter Operations, ACM, Emergency Procedures and Operations; • Knowledge of FAA Advisory Circular’s pertaining to Field Maintenance activities; • Knowledge of Microsoft programs (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint) • Ability to keep composure during stressful working conditions;
REQUIREMENTS The following requirements list the minimum education/training/experience required to qualify for this job. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be accepted.
• High School Diploma or GED. • Five (5) years supervisory experience in a union environment; airfield or airport experience preferred. • Must have or obtain FAA required security clearance through the ACAA Training, Safety & Security Department. • Must have the ability to obtain Airfield driving privileges within 90 days of employment and maintain throughout employment. • Possess or obtain prior to employment, a valid Pennsylvania Class C driver’s license. Note: License must be maintained throughout employment.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED / RECEIVED Defines the direction for approximately 95 department employees; directly supervises union supervisors in Field Maintenance / Receives general guidance from the Superintendent.
