Telluride Regional Airport (TEX) is well positioned to serve all segments of the civil air transportation industry. The Airport has facilities to accommodate commercial airline activity and general aviation users. The airport sits at an elevation of 9,070 feet above sea level and has the distinguished honor of being the highest commercial airport in North America. TEX is self-sustaining in its... operation, serving as the airfield operator and fueling fixed base operator of the airport.
The airport is owned and operated by the Telluride Regional Airport Authority (TRAA). The TRAA Board of Commissioners consists of nine regular members and three alternates serving 4-year terms representing San Miguel County, Town of Telluride and the Town of Mountain Village.
