Respond to all incidents/accidents as a crash rescue firefighter. Must be able to maintain ARFF and related certifications throughout employment.
Responsible for the safe and efficient operations and overall security of the Air Operations Area (AOA) and Airside and Landside Terminals at IFP. Perform daily inspections of all runways, taxiways, ramps, and associated safety areas and perimeter fences, landside, terminals, parking lots and airport property.
Perform wildlife management functions on all airport properties.
Conduct airside and landside inspections to ensure compliance with FAR Part 139 regulations; Airport Certification Manual; 14 CFR Part 77; 49 CFR 1542; ASP and other federal regulations.
Accurately report unsafe conditions (including the issuance of NOTAMs and Work Orders) and policy/procedure violations.
Identify operational, safety and security concerns. Respond to weather events and airport emergencies such as an accident, bomb threats or hazardous spills.
Bachelor’s degree in Aviation/Airport Management, Business, Public Administration or related
field or one (1) year aviation experience in an area specifically related to airfield operations, and
or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Training in Basic ASOS,
ACE or other AAAE certifications is a plus.
