Purpose: The Project Analyst will provide critical data to support various project teams. Research and analysis functions may include budget tracking and financial forecasting. The Project Analyst helps maintain project controls and administrative services processes and procedures for Massport and ensures their execution on all projects. The Project Analyst will also be expected to perform other functions, including but not limited to cost control, schedule control, change review, contract, and process adherence for multiple various scale projects.
ESSENTIAL TASKS OF THE JOB: • Ensures the monitoring of key projects and processes for project reviews for all stages of Massport projects. • Explains variances against monthly progress. • Assists with cost estimating, cost management, cost control, and cost forecasting functions. • Reviews project schedules. • Performs typical project controls functions (including but not limited to cost control, schedule control, change review, contract, and process adherence) for multiple projects. • Provides monthly updates on project financials, schedule status, issues, and concerns. • Identifies and assists with change management process on projects. • Monitors close out documentation requirements. • Assists with work process improvements and other related initiatives. • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
SECONDARY JOB TASKS: • Provide technical expertise and support to project managers on selected projects. • Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Architecture or Construction or related field EXPERIENCE: 1-3 years of experience in the E&C industry, preferably in construction services
UNIQUE EXPERTISE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATIONS: 1. Understanding of project management, project scheduling, cost estimating, and monitoring practices, methods and tools. 2. Knowledge of project management, cost estimating, scheduling, and office software, including Primavera and PMIS (Project Management Information System). 3. Established verbal and written communication skills, both internal to the organization and external with clients. 4. Able to organize and prioritize work and work under pressure to meet deadlines. 5. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products. 6. Massachusetts Class D (III) driver's license. 7. Ability to pass a Massport background check and obtain a Massport Security Badge. 8. Ability to pass airfield driving test and obtain Aerodrome License. 9. Ability to pass Massport pre-placement physical, controlled substance testing and background security check.
WORK SCHEDULE: Ability to work a 37.5-hour workweek and ability to work additional hours as workload demands.
