Responsibilities include designing and leading aviation engineering projects related to military airfields; evaluating and analyzing existing projects; preparing reports, budgets, cost estimates, specifications, plans, schedules, studies, and permits; leading proactive client interactions and communications with military clients; performing QA/QC tasks; serving as project manager and mentoring project staff; and serving as the onsite project engineer on construction projects. The successful candidate must have all of the following: • a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in civil engineering, or related field • at least eight years of relevant experience (at least four years of experience must be in military airfield design) • PE license in any state
The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following: AutoCAD Civil3D design software; leading the development of plans, specs, reports, cost estimates, and submittal packages for military projects; Specs-In-Tact software; PCASE software; project QA/QC including leading design reviews; serving as the onsite project engineer on construction projects; preparing scopes, fees, and contracts.
