Support the Deputy Director of Airfield Facilities, and manage projects and tasks of the Planning, Design and Construction Department to ensure that the goals and objectives of assigned projects are met: performs detailed project management duties of assigned design/construction tasks or projects: project assignments may include: airfield, airport facilities and landside projects. Projects may be at Detroit Metro or Willow Run Airports.
To perform this job successfully, at the time of application, applicants must meet or exceed the following:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; AND
A minimum of five (5) years of professional experience with progressive responsibilities in the engineering, construction administration, and the management of consultants and contractors. Experience should include airfield pavement design and construction, roadway and parking lot construction, and pavement repair assessment and restoration.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION - PROFESSIONAL LICENSE
A preferred candidate would have a valid State of Michigan Professional Engineer or Civil Engineering License.
