AECOM's Tampa office is seeking a mid-level environmental planner to support ongoing aviation environmental planning and design projects for a variety of clients throughout multiple geographies.
Candidates will be responsible for, but not limited to: Preparing environmental planning and permitting documentation Conducting technical studies (e.g., modeling, engineering calculations, field reviews) to support environmental planning and permitting documentation Coordination with task and project managers, working with on-site subcontractors and field staff, supporting sampling, data collection, and field documentation Providing specific office support including preparation of work plans, health and safety plans, and technical reports Managing environmental data and preparing tables and figures to present data Managing tasks assigned by project manager Field reporting and data management Assisting with proposal preparation
BA/BS in Environmental Sciences, Natural Sciences, Airport Planning or similar field
4 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Prior experience with National Environmental Policy Act studies, and/or technical analysis supporting those studies
Ability to interact with multi-disciplinary design, construction, and operations teams to meet client project needs
Effective verbal and written communication skills for project presentations and reports
Technical experience with one or more of the following: rare/threatened/endangered species survey; wetland evaluation/delineation; air pollutant and greenhouse gas emissions inventories; National Historic Preservation Act cultural resource assessment; DOT Section 4(f) compliance; Coastal Zone Management Act compliance; aviation noise and land use compatibility assessment; flood hazard assessment; socioeconomic impact studies
Knowledge of civilian airport and/or military installation operations
Experience with National Environmental Policy Act documentation and compliance for U.S. Federal Aviation Administration and/or U.S. Department of Defense
Experience with industry-specific programs such as Airports Council International Airport Carbon Accreditation
Knowledge of airport/installation Capital Improvement Planning, Master Planning, Installation Development Planning requirements and principles
Experience with Geographic Information Systems and/or Computer Aided Design applications (i.e., ArcGIS, AutoCAD
