Manages and supervises maintenance personnel. Responsible for all phases of airside and landside facilities, grounds, infrastructure, electrical and vehicle maintenance including but not limited to Part 139 items. Establishes routine, preventative and long term maintenance programs. Responsible to ensure the safe and efficient operation of airport. Prepares the annual maintenance department budget.
•Development of written preventative maintenance program for airside and landside facilities, equipment and vehicles. Provides recommendations for repairs, improvements, construction, rehabilitation, alteration, or modifications.
•Development, implementation and upgrading of the airport’s work order and inventory system. Preparation of work orders, inventory control, time and materials required to perform tasks.
•Implementation of an inventory control system. Responsible for the purchase of materials and services for the Maintenance Department.
•Prepares plans for upgrading current facilities and infrastructure.
•Provides oversight for construction and coordination of preconstruction meetings.
•Identification of safety hazards. Provides safety training as the Safety Coordinator.
Must have strong leadership capabilities and interpersonal skills.
Familiar with trade disciplines.
Must possess or be capable of obtaining a New York State Class B Commercial Drivers License.
Minimum of ten (10) years of management experience.
Familiar with Collective Bargaining Agreements.
