BASIC FUNCTION: One of 4 duty managers primarily responsible for management of the day-to-day Airport’s landside programs. Duties include but not limited to managing the following: security access control system oversight, Airport Security Program, parking vendor contract, website/social media posting, media organization and Ground Transportation Service Operators (GTSO) program. Act as on-call after hours manager on rotating basis for airport operations & security, including TSA 1542 compliance, facility & grounds maintenance, general aviation programs. Implement & enforce tenant lease agreements, operating agreements, service contracts, airport rules & regs, airport minimum standards, standard operating procedures/funding mechanisms including AIP, PFC’s, and CFC’s. Coordinates maintenance work orders, capital projects & administers airport Operating/ Capital budgets, federal and/or state grants. Primary point of contact for federal, state and local agencies, as well as tenants and public. Reports to Director of Aviation. Must successfully pass Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) & Security Threat Assessment (STA).
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or aviation related field or 5 years of airport operations experience in lieu of the degree.
Minimum of 4 years of Airport Operations experience. (A Master’s degree or graduate course work may be substituted for part of the minimum work experience).
Leadership skills and aptitude.
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and the ability to learn complex security software.
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent statistical and analytical skills
Attention to detail and the ability to read, research and comply with complex rules and regulations.
AAAE Certified Member
AAAE ACE – Airfield Operations
Working knowledge of accounting, budget and federal grant requirements.
Snow Removal Operations Experience
ASC certification or the ability to become certified
ARFF certification or the ability to become certified
