The Portland International Jetport is seeking one additional Airport Operations Supervisor to join our team. Under the direction of the Operations Manager, this position plans, organizes, and supervises airside and landside operations on a rotating 24x7 schedule that includes nights, weekends, holidays, and being on-call. Responsibilities include the inspection of airside, terminal, and landside facilities. Other duties include coordinating airport construction, issuing NOTAMs, ensuring FAR Part 139 compliance, coordinating special events, enforcing environmental regulations, mitigating wildlife hazards, responding to emergencies, and other duties as assigned. Reviews and acts on matters involving safety, security, and customer service. Responsible for coordinating security/driver's training. Ability to pass all required background investigations and maintain a valid Class C Maine Driver’s License. Completion of a 4-year degree in Airport Management or a related field. A minimum of two (2) years of professional work experience at a commercial service airport in the airport operations field conducting FAR Part 139 airfield inspections and issuing NOTAMs. Applicants must be familiar with FAR Part 139, TSR Part 1542, applicable FAA Advisory Circulars, and standard airport operating procedures. Private Pilot Certificate, AAAE CM, AAAE ACE, and previous experience leading airport snow and ice control operations is preferred. Effective communication skills are a must.
Additional Salary Information: This is a 40 hour per week position that will benefit from additional wages earned during overtime situations. Starting hourly wage is dependent upon qualifications.
