The City of El Reno is currently seeking an Airport Manager. The Airport Manager performs administrative work involving coordinating, planning, implementing and supervising all airport activities including airport safety, facility maintenance and compliance inspection. Supervision is exercised over all airport safety, maintenance and administrative personnel.

Training and Experience: Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in Airport Management or related field and three (3) to five (5) years’ related aviation experience; or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Knowledge of airport operations, safety and maintenance processes and procedures. Experience speaking to and writing for boards, commissions, media representatives and senior corporate officials. Ability to coordinate contracts and leases and to prepare and recommend long-range plans and policies. Ability to direct, supervise, hire and evaluate subordinate personnel and to establish effective working relations with the public and other City employees. Ability to coordinate public relations of airport facilities. Excellent work history and attendance record. Demonstrated knowledge of standard office routines and procedures and of principles and practices of office management and supervision. Must be proficient with computers and other office equipment with considerable knowledge in WordPerfect and Microsoft programs

Licenses and Certificates: Possession of a valid Oklahoma Driver’s License is required.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Work in this classification is both indoors in an office environment and outdoors often under adverse weather conditions. Will travel to other City locations and do field inspections as required.
Notice: This classification is a “safety sensitive” position as defined by the United States Department of Transportation drug and alcohol testing regulations, the Oklahoma Standards for Workplace Drug and Alcohol Testing Act and/or the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana laws.
