The County of San Diego is currently accepting job applications for Airport Operations Coordinator, to fill a vacancy at the County's McClelland-Palomar Airport located in Carlsbad (North County location).
The Airport Operations Coordinator performs a variety of airport operations duties and managerial oversight required by Federal, State, and local regulatory agencies at the County's airports. Such managerial oversight includes aviation safety, security, airport access, facility management, noise abatement, environmental issues, and public relations.

An associate's degree from an accredited U.S. college or university, or a certified foreign studies equivalency in airport/aviation management or a closely related field; AND, two (2) years of full-time experience at an airport performing airport operations or airport management duties.
Note: Qualifying experience or education may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
The Department of Public Works of the County of San Diego consists of four divisions responsible for a variety of activities. These range from the construction and maintenance of roads and highways in the unincorporated areas of the county, to the management of the region's sanitation and flood control districts.
