Sanford Airport Authority is seeking an experienced Airfield Electrician to maintain electrical systems on the airfield, and provide support for other electrical repairs and upgrades on the properties of the Orlando Sanford International Airport.
SAA offers competitive benefits and a SIGNING BONUS depending on experience and credentials. Pay of up to $75,000 annually DOE.
Perform duties to maintain electrical systems on the airfield, and provide support for other electrical repairs and upgrades on the properties of the Orlando Sanford International Airport.
Work from plans, manuals, blueprints, work orders, lighting reports, cabling plans, schematics and other documentation to ensure that electrical systems are maintained. Schedule work to ensure that airfield lighting needing repair is prioritized to ensure runways and taxiways are not shut down due to lighting issues.
Ensure the electrical vault equipment including backup generators and regulators are maintained in good working order. Know where all lighting and lighting vault equipment controlling the entire airport is located. Support contractors to locate electrical systems.
Inspect and maintain the roadway street lighting and industrial lighting.
Update and maintain reporting documentation for Operations relating to Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and Electrical Generators (EG) for compliance with 14 CFR Part 139 for audit.
Review proposed project electrical plans for airport projects, meet with contractors as required, and make recommendations for the best process. Serve as an electrical subject matter expert to contractors and engineers as required. Determine the costs of electrical-related segments of internal projects, determine and order supplies, and specify and order safety equipment.
Research to ensure that systems (generators, UPS, lighting) remain in compliance with 14 CFR Part 139.
Provide guidance as required to other Electricians.
