Directs all operational aspects of the airport to include airside, landside and terminal maintenance.
Examples of Duties / Knowledge & Skills •Ensures that safe, secure, and efficient operations are conducted at the Texarkana Regional Airport. •Ensures that the Airport Certification Manual is prepared and maintained as required by Federal Aviation Regulations, Part 139. •Prepares and maintains the Airport Security Program. •Directs and supervises the activities of the airport and terminal maintenance staff. •Develops, implements and trains all personnel in the airports driver safety program to keep the airport in compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) safety regulations. •Directs and supervises the Airport’s Wildlife Control Program to include the development of a wildlife control plan. Coordinate all state and federal depredation permits. •Manages the Airport’s Badging and Access Control System. •Will be required to respond to the Airport for emergencies.
Minimum qualifications & Requirements Education/Experience: • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Aviation Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field and; • Three - Five years of experience in airport operations at a FAR Part 139 airport. Work experience in aviation may be substituted for years of education on a year-for-year basis. • A combination of education and experience may be considered in meeting the minimum requirements for this position. • Valid state driver license, free of serious or frequent traffic violations. Preferences: • Knowledge of emergency planning, airport operations, Federal Aviation Regulations (including Part 139 and 1542), and budget planning. • A Pilot’s License • A.A.E or C.M. Certification from American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) Physical Requirements: • Requires the ability to lift, carry, push and pull objects up to 30 pounds. • Job functions require sitting for extended periods, but also involve standing, stooping, kneeling, bending, lifting, walking, carrying, and reaching. • Extensive wrist and hand movements required for frequent keyboarding and use of office equipment. • Ability to perform close work to file, read and use computer required. • Ability to continuously exchange information through listening and talking with customers, coworkers, representatives of community organizations and other individuals required. • Ability to be mobile community wide for appropriate business needs required. WORKING CONDITIONS, TRAVEL, ENVIRONMENT AND POTENTIAL HAZARDS: • Work is primarily in an office setting with some travel on the airport and in the local area. Occasional exposure to aircraft noise and fumes.
Additional Salary Information: Hiring Range 65,000 - 75,000
