Here is how the Deputy Fire Chief will help: •Plan, organize and supervise structural and aircraft rescue firefighting and first responder medical care; •Assists Fire Chief with budget and purchases; •Ensure proper preparation and maintenance of administrative records; •Manage development of adequate training programs; •Conduct marketing efforts of Fire Training Facility training classes; •Coordinate mutual aide efforts related to emergency planning issues; •Manage inspections and reviews plans for building/facilities; •Administers represented employees with regard to labor relations’ policies and labor contracts; •Supervise, train, discipline subordinate staff; •Coordinate with Authority to develop new programs/initiatives, •Act as Fire Chief in his /her absence; •Performs other related tasks as assigned or required
Bachelor’s degree in fire services or public safety from an accredited college or university.
5 years related experience.
Possess or obtain prior to employment a valid Pennsylvania Class C driver’s license. Note: license must be maintained throughout employment.
