Education and Experience Requirement
Bachelor's degree, science or engineering preferred. Three years minimum supervisory experience. Five years quality experience in a manufacturing environment. AS9100 Quality Management System experience, preferred.

Minimum Job Requirements

Level of Responsibility and Authority
Responsible to ensure the quality of product being shipped thereby preventing customer escapes. Authorized to hold shipments if quality is suspect. Given organizational freedom and unrestricted access to top management in order to resolve quality management issues. Responsible for referring any information or new inquiries relating to statutory and regulatory requirements to the attention of top management. Appoints personnel authorized to disposition nonconforming material based on position, experience and knowledge of product/process. Authorized to hire and terminate employees within the guidelines of the HR policies.
Job Duties
- Responsible for day-to-day operations in Quality departments in both Wisconsin and Tucson facilities.
- Manage department employees including performance, evaluations, training, work assignments, problem resolutions, hiring and terminations in accordance with HR policies.
- Plan, manage, and audit the Quality Management System and procedures throughout the organization, ensuring adequate documentation and continuous improvement.
- Establish departmental goals that ensure forward progress of the quality organization.
- Report the Company's performance against the Quality Management System to senior leadership.
- Implement and maintain the Quality Management System throughout the organization.
- Support the Plant Managers in the continual improvement of processes and systems.
- Manage the process for Corrective and Preventive Actions.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through relationship, responsiveness, and continuous improvement.
- Report customer satisfaction data to top management.
- Lead or assist, as applicable, root cause investigations ensuring true root causes are identified. Implement and verify corrective actions and their effectiveness.
- Oversee the functioning and maintenance of departmental equipment, measurement instruments, and infrastructure to ensure product and process quality and quantity objectives are met.
- Ensure all dept. employees work safely and all hazardous conditions are eliminated.
- Ensure statutory, regulatory and environmental regulations are met within the department.
- Interpret Company's quality policies and communicate to others in the organization. Ensure cross departmental communication is accurate and effective.
- Perform supplier audits as necessary to support AS9100 compliance.
- Other ad hoc duties as assigned.
