The Tucson Airport Authority is seeking a Vice President of Planning and Engineering. The position is responsible for the strategic leadership, planning, coordination and management of airport development projects, programs, and initiatives for the TAA at the operated airports. The role includes land planning, noise programs, environmental management, engineering and architectural project design, development, construction administration, major maintenance and capital improvement programs and other areas related to airfield and landside development. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, urban or regional planning, or similar field. Minimum of ten years of progressive management and high-level supervisory experience working for a commercial service airport or equivalent (military), or in a consultant capacity; previous experience at a small, medium, or large hub airport, military, or airport consultant experience preferred.

Qualifications for the Vice President of Planning and Engineering are a bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, urban or regional planning, or similar field. Master’s Degree preferred. A minimum of ten years of progressive management and high-level supervisory experience working for a commercial service airport or equivalent (military), or in a consultant capacity; previous experience at a small, medium, or large hub airport, military, or airport consultant experience preferred. PE, AICP or AIA preferred; industry credential, e.g., AMPAP, I.A.P., A.A.E, preferred. Must have strong organizational leadership skills to lead a high performing organization, exhibit strong project planning execution capabilities, advanced relationship management skills and extensive experience working with stakeholders to bring project strategies from concept to successful completion.
