Two years of experience may be substituted for one year of education:

• Experienced – You have ten (10) or more years of experience Progressively responsible experience in the aviation and/or airline industry, with progressive leadership and or management experience including performance management and development of staff.  
• Educated – You possess a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, International Business, or related field.
• Leadership – You create and maintain an environment that enables and facilitates high performance and individual responsibility. Use teamwork effectively to achieve results by utilizing strengths and capabilities and meet internal and external communication and coordination needs. Manage and work with people from widely varied technical and operational specialties. Develop staff for future assignments and management succession.
• Problem Solving - You can manage conflict effectively, influence and effect change in a political environment, work effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including our community partners and while managing multiple and rapidly changing priorities.  
• Relationship Building - You communicate openly and honestly including situations of significant project performance challenges. Establish and maintain strong relationships at multiple management levels and functional areas within Aviation Division and with Corporate and Economic Development Divisions. Establish and maintain relationships with airlines, other airport tenants and customers, and external design and construction community. Foster open communication, teamwork, and exchange of ideas and knowledge including lessons learned on project performance. Seek to understand and treat others with respect. Work collaboratively at senior management and executive level to achieve project success and support organizational goals

• Work Schedule – Your normal work schedule will be Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (40 hours per week). You may be required to work any and all assigned shifts, including weekends and holidays. You may be required to work during emergencies.
• Work Environment – This is a hybrid work environment with flexibility to allow for in-office and teleworking, with site visits as needed to conduct client site visits.
• Washington State Residency Requirement – Employees must establish a residence in Washington state within 30 days of their first day of employment and must maintain a residence in Washington State during their employment with the Port of Seattle. If a position is eligible to telework, work performed while teleworking must be performed in Washington State.
• Security Requirements – As the successful candidate, you will/must pass a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) background check as well as a criminal history background check with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Your employment will be contingent upon obtaining a Port of Seattle ID badge upon clearance. You will also be required to obtain a U.S. Customs and Border Patrol Customs Seal within 30 days of hire.
• COVID–19 Vaccination Requirement – The Port of Seattle will require that at the time of hire, and as a condition of employment, the successful candidate will be able to provide proof of their full COVID–19 vaccination status, as part of the hiring process. This is a condition of employment for all positions at the Port of Seattle. People are considered fully vaccinated two weeks after their second dose in a two–dose series or two weeks after a single–dose vaccine.
