The Jacksonville Aviation Authority (JAA) welcomes applications for the role of Dispatcher. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled. This is technical work in receiving and transmitting a variety of emergency calls, information, and messages within the Airport Operations Control Center (AOCC). Work requires knowledge of emergency communications operating procedures, with the ability to operate computerized emergency communications telephone equipment. Contacts require answering and responding to emergency calls from distraught and emotional individuals and require assertiveness as well as sensitivity to ensure appropriate information is gathered and transmitted according to the situation.
