Patrols airport runways, taxiways and ramps to ensure FAR (Federal Air Regulations) Part 139, 77, 150 compliance, inspect for the presence of hazards such as improperly working lights, pavement markings and signs, FOD, broken pavement, debris, fuel or oil spillage, or ice and snow on airfield and prepares self-inspection report and work requests; patrols airfield for the presence of wildlife; utilizes frightening and/or harassment techniques to disperse wildlife hazards; removes and identifies dead wildlife from active movement areas. Conducts perimeter inspections to ensure fence line and posts are properly secured. Provides Air Operations Area (AOA) escorts for contractors, and aircraft operator tenants for relocation of aircraft as needed. Inspects Fuel Farms, fueling equipment, and fueling operations to ensure NFPA 407 standards are adhered to. This is a trainee position with the Airport Operations division. Candidates may be promoted to an Airport Operations Agent position after meeting the required criteria.
REQUIRES anaccredited Bachelor’s degree. Must successfully complete a 10-year Federal background check. Preference given to candidates with a Bachelor's degree in an Aviation-related field OR six months of experience working at an airport facility.
