This position assists the Airport Operations Manager in ensuring compliance with TSR 1540, 1542 and 1544, and FAA FAR Part 139. Incumbent staff are required to work shift schedules, and are considered essential personnel for emergency response. Staff may also be called upon to perform additional duties, including duties related to routine facilities maintenance such as snow removal, as needed. Position is subject to call 24 hours a day as necessary to maintain operations at the Wilmington Airport - ILG, or other Delaware airport facilities operated by the DRBA. Ability to pass airfield driver certification, Part 139 and SIDA testing within 60 days of hire; subject to background investigation, STA and CHRC; Ability to be trained in the operation and use of a firearm; Ability to speak and write effectively, with special emphasis on the expression of technical ideas.

The Delaware River & Bay Authority (DRBA) was created by Compact in 1962. The DRBA, overseen by six commissioners from New Jersey and six from Delaware, is charged with providing vital transportation links between the two states as well as economic development in Delaware and the four southern counties of New Jersey. To fulfill these missions, the DRBA operates the Delaware Memorial Bridge, the Cape May-Lewes Ferry, the Three Forts Ferry Crossing, the Salem County Business Center and five airports—Wilmington/New Castle, The Civil Air Terminal at Dover AFB, and Delaware Airpark, all in Delaware, and the Millville Executive and Cape May Airports, both in New Jersey.
