St. Joseph County Airport Authority (SJCAA) in South Bend, IN is seeking an enthusiastic, forward thinking individual for the position of Operations Specialist. This position is primarily responsible for supporting the Airport Authority’s mission, vision and values.
The Operations Specialist promotes the safety and security of airport users by ensuring compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations, Transportation Security Regulations as well as all other applicable statutes, regulations and requirements. Duties include monitoring all airside and landside activity, responding to emergent and non-emergent operational issues, airfield condition reporting, and acting as a liaison amongst airport management, tenants and the public. All employees are expected to be part of our customer service team as Dedicated Customer Care Specialists.
A Bachelor's degree in aviation management, business administration, or a related field is preferred; or in lieu of a degree, a minimum of two years of work experience at a commercial airport. Ability to pass an extensive background and Criminal History Records Check required. Valid Driver’s License Required.
