The Airport Planning Manager assists the Director of Aviation overseeing the administration of grants, ensuring compliance with the FAA Airports District Office and other Federal Agencies, Budget, Advisory Circulars, and state and local laws. This includes coordinating the annual submission of FAA Airport Improvement Program (AIP) grants aligned with the Airport’s Capital Improvement Plan. Reviews monthly grant reports, presents quarterly/monthly grant information to stakeholders, and offers technical and policy planning support for airport projects and grant funding plans. Maintains appropriate documentation of airport funding plans in accordance with FAA guidelines, liaising with construction teams throughout the course of projects.
