The City of Minot is accepting applications for the position of a Full Time Summer Intern in the Airport. This is a part time, non-civil service position. Salary for this position will start at $16.37-18.52 per hour, D.O.E.
Intern will learn the importance of all divisions of the airport, including learning about airport administration, operations, facility maintenance, security, etc.
This position will help the individual to enhance strong critical thinking skills, understand the operational needs at a commercial airport, and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders and community partners.
Job shadow assigned staff of other departments, such as airport operations and maintenance, airport facilities, airport administration, etc.
Will be assigned time primarily within the airport’s Operations and Maintenance department, with additional time spent in other major divisions of the airport.

Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university in good academic standing OR be a recent college graduate (within last 6 months of application).
The City may consider a high school student that has completed “1760 Aviation Technology I” coursework from Minot School District or equivalent and be in good academic standing.
Must be at least 18 years of age at time of application.
Must have a valid driver’s license at time of application.
Must be able to pass a Drug Screen.
Must be able to obtain an Airport Security Badge (which includes fingerprint criminal history records check and security badging test).
