Troubleshoots and inspects airport security systems and repairs wiring, switches, magnetic locks, card readers, and electrical power sources.
Performs preventative maintenance and service on electric generators, jet bridges, baggage retrieval systems, and security screening equipment.
Installs, diagnoses, and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment in accordance with electrical codes, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications.
Reads and interprets plans, blueprints, and specifications for construction and remodeling and may recommend appropriate modifications or additions to plans.
Performs maintenance and repairs to electrical equipment, including fluorescent and incandescent lighting fixtures, wiring, conduit boxes and tubing, switches, motors, generators, and climate control systems.
Installs, repairs, and maintains high voltage distribution systems and multiple lighting systems on airport runways, taxiways, and ramps.
• Demonstrate excellent journeyman-level electrical maintenance and installation of electrical equipment. • Display strong initiative while being attentive to details and compliance-focused. • Shine at providing excellent electrical tasks such as repairing and/or wiring electrical fixtures, electrical components, and computer-based control equipment, which involves diagnostic troubleshooting ability. • Associate degree or Trade School Certificate in electrical installation and repair is strongly preferred. • Have a minimum of 3 years experience as an electrician or related experience is required. • Electrician License is required.
• Be able to pass and maintain background and security clearance • Have a valid Mississippi driver’s license with a class B endorsement and the ability to receive authorization to drive in secured areas.
