Position Summary: Responsible for ensuring compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requirements related to the safety of airport operations involving airfield maintenance, Aircraft Rescue/Fire fighting operations, Airport Security and Snow Removal Operations. Essential Job Functions: •Conducts regular inspections of airfield, tenant leasing areas, and public areas. •Reports discrepancies and follows up to see that corrective action is taken •Maintains NOTAM records, issues NOTAM’S when appropriate •Observes and reports on airport maintenance and construction projects •Maintains all required records relating to FAA & TSA requirements as well as training •Issues permits for airfield vehicular operations, enforces compliance with airport policies and regulations. •Coordinate and conduct the training of airport personnel and tenants in the Pedestrian/Flight Line Driving & Security Training. •Maintains ARFF certification. •Reviews and revise Airport Security Manuel and Airport Security Plan. •Maintain wildlife hazing/eradication records and obtains permits.
Required Qualifications:
High School education/G.E.D. and a minimum of one year experience in the duties of airport operations, to include TSA 1540/1542 and FAA Part 139 Regulations.
Valid driver's license and a driving record free of significant moving violations.
Ability to pass a background check and obtain a SIDA Badge if required
Ability to read, understand, interpret and explain rules and regulations.
Desirable Qualifications:
Good knowledge of airport procedures and aviation terminology.
Ability to work under stressful conditions, analyze situations.
Ability to prepare and present concise oral and written reports.
C.M. or the ability to obtain a C.M. within two years.
