THE POSITION: The Airport Operations Specialist II is assigned to the Department of Aviation and is responsible for maintaining the security audit program encompassing security compliance inspections, aviation worker screening, and security threat assessments throughout airport facilities. This position provides routine operational support and monitoring of functions and activities of the Airport Vehicle Inspection Plaza (VIP) and the Airport Control Center; to serve as an airport point of contact for airport tenants and outside agencies as it relates to fingerprinting, employee/tenant training, airport badging, cargo and vehicle permitting; and to provide responsible staff assistance to the Airport Security Manager and Airport Security Supervisor.
