Supervises staff responsible for FAR Part 139 compliance, coordination of snow removal, airport emergency incident command, inspection of tenant leased areas, public parking facilities, construction safety, terminal and landside inspections, and noise compatibility program and acts as noise complaint liaison for the department. Acts as liaison to KCFD ARFF unit and tenant managers for all operational issues and yearly Airfield Emergency Drills. Prepares annual budget and acts as approval authority for the Operations Division. Assist in planning and monitoring construction projects for compliance with FAR Part 139, as well as airport rules and regulations. Maintains Airport Certification Manual, Airport Emergency Plan, Wildlife Hazard Management Plan, and SMGCS plan. Collaborates with Terminal Operations and Airport Police to develop and test terminal emergency action plans. Audits of utilization of common-use terminal equipment and RON parking to ensure appropriate invoicing. Coordinates development of airport rules and regulations. Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRES an accredited Bachelor’s degree and 5 years managing a division, section or program within airport operations, airport regulatory compliance, or oversight of building and/or construction operations at an airport; OR high school diploma and 9 years experience in managing a division section or program within airport operations, airport regulatory compliance, or oversight of building and/or construction operations at an airport. Must successfully complete a TSA criminal history check and a pre-employment drug screen.
