As a Senior Airport Operations Agent for the Colorado Springs Airport, you will:
Ensure smooth and safe airport operations by coordinating with department, enforcing regulations, and managing personnel and equipment.
Coordinate aircraft parking and gate usage
Coordinate airport emergency operations with tenants, FAA, TSA, military, aircraft rescue, and firefighting personnel.
Implement NIMS/ICS during all emergencies in an incident command role
Responding to inquiries from the public, airport tenants, airlines, and regulatory agencies
Evaluate airfield conditions during inclement weather
Coordinate winter weather operations; issue (NOTAMs); and track changes in airport operational status
Notify the Airport's maintenance sections of priority ground and terminal maintenance/repair requirements
Receive/respond to concerns of the traveling public on matters relating to parking, traffic congestion, ground transportation, and terminal conditions
Coordinate/investigate/respond to security violations in accordance with the Airport's security plan
Participate in the development/revision of the airport security and operations procedures for the Airport

Obtain and maintain airfield driving movement & non-movement privileges
Minimum Qualifications:
Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade (high school diploma or GED)
Three years of full-time airport operations, airport management, or related experience
Possess, or obtain upon hire and maintain, a valid, non-probationary Colorado driver's license not subject to restriction related to alcohol and/or drug violations or pending charges
Preferred Qualifications:
Possess or willing to obtain AAAE Ace Security Certification within in 12-months of hire
Possess or willing to obtain FEMA ICS (Incident Command System) courses to include IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, and IS-800 certifications with in 12-months of hire
The Colorado Springs Airport (COS) is a city-owned, public-use commercial airport located in the heart of Colorado. COS is the primary-use airport for the Pikes Peak Region and Southern Colorado. The 3-runway airport is the second largest in the state. Designated as a small hub airport, the 12-gate terminal facility has scheduled air service on 6 airlines.
