The Operations Specialist I is entry level position that manages the use of airport facilities and assures compliance with Federal Aviation Regulation. Duties: •Compliance with FAR Parts 77 and 139, TSR 1542 •Monitoring of all facilities, personnel, and operations •Inspections of the airfield for unsafe or non-compliant conditions •Actively monitors security access control and CCTV systems •Airport security badging •Coordinates and monitors airport construction activities •Customer service in responding to questions and inquiries from the public, airport stakeholders, and/or governmental regulatory agencies.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Airport Management, Aviation Science, or a closely related field, combined with a minimum of one (1) year of experience in airport operations or administration preferred, or a high school diploma and equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant airport experience.
Candidate must interact effectively with the public and all airport stakeholders.
Prior experience with fixed base operators (FBO), airlines, air cargo, airfield maintenance, and/or airport emergency services is highly desirable.
