The Airport Operations team member ensures safe, secure, and efficient airport operations by conducting daily airfield inspections, issuing and managing NOTAMs, and taking corrective action as needed. Duties include coordinating snow removal, responding to emergencies, monitoring construction activity, and supporting compliance with FAA and TSA regulations. The role also involves training and overseeing airfield drivers, managing wildlife hazard programs, conducting security audits, and maintaining operational systems such as fueling and parking controls. This position acts as a liaison between the Airport Authority and tenants, handling communications, service issues, and operational coordination. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, sound judgment, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are required. Knowledge of FAR Parts 77, 139, TSR 1542, and airport advisory circulars is essential, along with the flexibility to work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays. Shift is Wednesday - Saturday 04:30-14:30.
Experience and Education Requirements
High school equivalent education with work experience in aviation and airport operations; requires strong working knowledge of computer, including email. Associate or Bachelor’s degree in an aviation related field is preferred.
Special Requirements
Pass a pre-hire drug screen and is subject to random alcohol and drug testing.
Pass federal fingerprint based criminal history background check.
Must be able to obtain a FWACAA-issued AOA Driving Privileges
Available for recall during non-duty hours for emergencies, snow removal or other required duties.
Meet and maintain qualifications pursuant to Airport Security regulation (CFR 49 Part 1542).
