The salary range for this position is $258,804 - $349,384. The starting salary offer will be determined by the Port and is based on years of similar work experience. The Port offers competitive benefits. Relocation assistance will be offered.
The Port of Seattle is seeking a Chief Financial Officer. The CFO is the Port’s top financial executive and serves as a strategic advisor to the Executive Director, Executive Leadership Team, and Port Commission. This “at-will” role is responsible for shaping financial policy, safeguarding public assets, and ensuring long-term economic sustainability. The CFO provides fiduciary leadership with oversight of treasury functions and a $3 billion plus debt portfolio. Ten years of financial management and operations experience in leading an organization’s financial and accounting function; directing financial strategies including responsibility for the strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, risk and compliance, and oversight of the organization’s financial activities. Five years’ senior leadership experience as a Chief Financial Officer, senior leader or performing similar functions including working with and collaborating with other executives to strategically align financial goals and overall business objectives.
Ten (10) years of financial management and operations experience in leading an organization’s financial and accounting function; directing financial strategies including responsibility for the strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, risk and compliance, and oversight of the organization’s financial activities.
Five (5) years’ senior leadership experience as a Chief Financial Officer, senior leader or performing similar functions including working with and collaborating with other executives to strategically align financial goals and overall business objectives.
Preferable to have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, economics, or public administration.
