SUMMARY: Under general administrative direction assists the Airport Director in the overall management, supervision, and administration of operations and business functions for the Yampa Valley Regional Airport (YVRA) to support safe, efficient and orderly airport operations and services for the public and other air transportation customers; assists with planning, coordinating, and supervising YVRA customer service, facility maintenance/development, marketing, budgetary, personnel, and business development activities; helps ensure YVRA’s compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and county policies; supports communication and coordination of commercial, general aviation and fixed base operator activities among airport and community stakeholders, the Yampa Valley Airport Commission (YVAC) and county administration; and performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Any combination of experience and education that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: Education: Possession of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business administration, public administration, aviation management, engineering, or a related field. Experience: Five years of progressively responsible experience supervising or managing complex administrative programs or airport operations, including three years of commercial and general aviation airport management experience.
