The Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority (RTAA) is seeking an experienced Airport Emergency Management Coordinator to join the Airport Operations and Public Safety department. Reporting to the Airport Safety Manager, the Airport Emergency Management Coordinator operates with a high degree of independence and professional discretion in developing, implementing, and sustaining a comprehensive airport-wide emergency management program. Under general policy guidance, this position independently leads the planning, implementation, and coordination of emergency readiness initiatives across airport operations and administrative functions. The role ensures a high level of preparedness for complex and evolving emergency scenarios and serves as a primary liaison internally within RTAA and externally to federal, state, and local agencies, private organizations, tenants, and community partners.
Serves as the airport’s primary emergency management subject matter expert, independently coordinating emergency preparedness, response and recovery activities with Airport departments, tenants, and emergency response agencies.
6 years of experience managing projects or programs in Emergency or Disaster Management. Experience must include research, analysis, training, and exercise development or closely related work. Experience in Airport, Airline or Transportation environments is highly preferred.
