Airport Operations Specialist performs safety inspections for FAA airport certification. Inspections are required to maintain the airport's operating certificate. The position’s objective is to ensure the airfield is operated and maintained according to certification requirements of the FAA. This involves: · Inspect airfield to ensure compliance with FAA Parts 139 and 77 and TSAR Part 1542 · Conduct inspections of landside, terminal facilities for safety and security. · Perform wildlife control, SMS functions · Inspect for wildlife hazards and mitigate; files FAA, Airport paperwork · Works with airfield maintenance and electrical sections to ensure repairs and maintenance are within FAA tolerances · Monitor Airport for compliance with Federal, State and Local Laws. · Inspect and monitor te
