This position manages the Safety Management Systems (SMS) program on the Airport’s Air Operations Area (AOA) in order to comply with federal, state, city regulations and maintain an active Airport Operating Certificate under the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 139. This position ensures compliance with FAR Part 139 and serves as secondary contact with the Airport Certification Safety Inspector. Responsible for the development, implementation and oversight of the Airport’s Safety Management Systems program on the Air Operations Area in order to maintain compliance with the Federal Aviation Administration CFR Title 14/Part 139.
