The Director of Planning identifies and prepares capital and operating plans and programs needed to maintain safe and efficient airport facilities. Manages consultants in the preparation of airport master plans and airport system plans. Ensures that all identified plans and programs conform to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) airport design standards. Develops and manages the preparation of plans, project scopes, cost estimates, and project schedules for capital projects and programs for a medium hub (Rhode Island T. F. Green International Airport) and five (5) general aviation airports. Coordinates and communicates capital projects and programs with federal, state and local agencies, as well as users, tenants, and the public.
