Safety Management Systems Manager (SMS Manager) will develop, implement and manage the SMS program for the Aviation Department. In addition to Boston-Logan Airport (BOS), the area of responsibility will also include Hanscom Field (BED) and Worcester Regional Airport (ORH) The SMS Manager is responsible for the development, implementation and management of the Safety Management System consistent with Draft FAA AC 150/5200-37A and any future federal regulations and FAA Advisory Circulars, as well as industry best practices. Within guidelines set by the Director of Aviation and regulatory authorities / governing bodies, the incumbent plans and coordinates the SMS program internally within Massport and externally with BOS/BED/ORH stakeholders (i.e., tenants).
