Under general supervision, the Safety Management Systems (SMS) Manager is responsible for the planning, implementation, and operation of the Palm Springs International Airport’s SMS, Safety Certifications, and Airside Construction. Serves as the primary administrator of the Airport’s SMS software ensuring compliance and promotion of a safe work environment, emergency planning, airside construction procedures, and other associated operations consistent with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). As a member of the City's unclassified service, this is an "at-will" position and serves at the discretion of the City Manager.
