The successful candidate will be offered a very competitive salary with an outstanding benefits package. The starting salary range is $172,000 - $214,440. An exceptional candidate may qualify for a higher starting salary with President/CEO approval.
The Greenville-Spartanburg Airport District is seeking a VP and Chief Operating Officer, a key member of the executive leadership team. Reporting directly to the President/CEO, the VP-COO oversees the Airport Operations Department, Facilities and Asset Management, and Public Safety functions, including Police and Fire. This position ensures safe, efficient, and compliant day-to-day operations while advancing the District’s long-term strategic priorities. The VP-COO may also act on behalf of the President/CEO when required. The VP-COO is responsible for aligning operational departments with the District’s mission, vision, and strategic goals. This executive leader will guide multifunctional teams, drive performance improvement, oversee critical contracts and leases, and maintain regulatory standards. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field. At least ten (10) years of professional experience in operations, with five plus (5+) years in airport or government settings preferred.
The Greenville-Spartanburg Airport Commission is the
governing body of the Greenville-Spartanburg Airport
District. The Commission is composed of six members
who are appointed by the Governor.
Greenville–Spartanburg International Airport (GSP)
is located near Greer, South Carolina, midway between
Greenville and Spartanburg. GSP has been named the Best Airport in North America

World for three of the last four years. This is one of the
