An Airport Operations Specialist supports the safe, efficient, and compliant day-to-day operation of the Williston Basin International Airport (XWA) by performing a wide range of operational, safety, and emergency response duties. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with Part 139 and 1542 requirements, conducting airside and landside inspections, and responding to all operational needs. Performs Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) and medical response duties, executes snow removal and airfield maintenance activities, and assists with incident response and airfield condition reporting to maintain operational readiness. Works collaboratively with airport staff, tenants, airlines, and external agencies to uphold safety standards and support reliable, customer-focused airport operations.

Base Salary: $51,000 (entry level with little/no experience) - $56,227 annually depending on experience and qualifications. Relocation reimbursement is also available up to $3,000 for qualified moving expenses. The City of Williston offers excellent benefits including $0 premium for single and family health insurance, 2 weeks paid vacation, 2 weeks sick leave, and mandatory contribution into a Public Employee Retirement System (PERS) retirement plan.

Typical Schedule:

• Sunday - Wednesday or Wednesday - Saturday
• Four (4) 10-hour shifts scheduled 5:00am-3:00pm or 3:00pm-1:00am
• Schedules are bid out every 6 months (by seniority)
